Tara in Queensland's Western Downs

Tara is a small country town in Queensland with a population between 900 - 1000 people.  Tara is situated 2 hrs west of Toowoomba and 3.5hrs west of Toowoomba on the Western Downs. Tara is accessible from the north, south, east and west by car or coach.

Catch the Bus your own way

Catch a bus from Brisbane, Toowoomba or Dalby to Tara, arriving Friday 2nd August, just before the festival begins and returning Monday.  Stay in a festival tent for 3 nights while you're here (...Find out more about Festival Tents).

Greyhound Coaches offer multiple trips between Brisbane and Toowoomba daily. Their timetable allows for connection to Sun Bus for the remainder of your journey to Tara.  View Greyhound timetable.

Sun Bus Coaches arrive at Tara BP (within a walk of the festival venue) at 12.40pm on Friday 2nd August 2019 (the first day of the festival. The Festival Venue
