Find yourself a bush camping spot in the Festival Camping - right next to the event. With more than 100 acres, there is a site to suit everyone, whether you have a tent, campervan, caravans or motorhome.
CAMPING FEE: A $25 per site camping fee will give you a camp spot onsite for the entire Festival, plus a few more days! So stay one night, or up to five nights for just $25.
CAMPING DATES: Access to the showgrounds for camping will commence 9.00 am Wednesday the 2nd August, 2017 and finish 5.00 pm Monday the 7th August, 2017. (Visitors wishing to stay on will be subject to council camping fees. Access to the showgrounds is also dependent on weather).
ALLOCATION OF SITES: With literally hundreds of requests or camp sites, we are sorry we are not able to book you a particular location - it's first in picks a spot. There are plenty of bush camping spots go go around, with more than 100 acres. Please note there is to be no camping on the cricket grounds.

AMENITIES: With thanks to Toowoomba Portable Toilets, we'll have excellent toilet and shower facilities available for festival campers.
POWER: The sites at the Festival are not powered sites. Generators are permitted from 7am to 8pm.
CAMP FIRES: Camp fires are permitted in self contained fire containers in all camping areas to keep you warm. It can get cold at night so bring along a few extra blankets also!
Firewood will be available for purchase onsite at certain times.
FIRE WOOD SELLING TIMES:
- Wednesday (2nd Aug) 10am to 5pm
- Thursday to Sunday (3rd to 6th Aug) 6am to 10am then again 2pm to 6pm.
LOCATION OF FIRE WOOD: At the amenities blocks in the caravan area and someone will also roam the camping area in a ute with wood for sale.
COST OF 2017 FIRE WOOD: Wheat bag of split wood $15.00, Wheat bag of block wood $10.00, bag of kindling $5.00
DUMP POINTS: There are very limited dump points and facilities in Tara. Please use dump points before arriving in Tara.
WATER ACCESS: Water Taps are limited on site, and please note, it is not suitable for drinking.
PETS: Small pets on a leash are permitted in camping grounds, but not in the festival site. Unless your pet happens to be a camel, it's really important you keep them well away from the racetrack - it's for the safety of our camels, jockeys and your pets too 🙂
